TRIVIA GAMEPLAY

Sort It Out centers around sequential turns where one player reads a topic card, which dictates the five items to be ordered and the specific criteria (e.g., “smallest to largest,” “shortest to longest”). Simultaneously, all other players must quickly arrange their five colored pegs, corresponding to the listed items, into the correct sequence on their individual sorting racks.

Once all players have locked in their sequence, the reader reveals the correct order on the back of the card. Players score one point, and advance one space on the main game board, for every correctly placed item. This dynamic system rewards partial knowledge, keeping the competition fierce even if you miss a few items.

The challenge escalates dramatically as you approach the final stages of the game. End-game spaces often introduce high-risk, high-reward scoring, frequently including massive penalties—such as moving multiple spaces backward—for completely incorrect arrangements.
